The Anna Bay Tavern Fishing Club, was formed over a few beers at the Tavern, with these aims in mind:
– Getting out there
– Having FUN
 
Including Families, Children and Developing Community Spirit whilst enjoying our Paradise in which we live.
 
Membership is open to all Local Families

Constitution

Members to be financial / 12 monthly by 31st  July each year

Member Renewal – If renewed after July 31st – any points forfeited, no merchandise (T-Shirt, Hats etc). Contrary if valid excuse is raised in writing to committee but member will miss out on all merchandise but retain points

Fees Applicable $50.00 Adults / $30 Junior 3-17yrs)  Child under 3 years is Free / Family $150.00 (2 adults & 2 children (3-17 yrs) Extra Children (3-17yrs) are $20 each)

Additional Newcastle District Anglers Association & NSW Fishing Clubs Association membership optional – Adults $20 / Child $3 (17yrs and under)

Committee made up of 5 Members for twelve months then open for election next AGM. Nominations for new committee members to be in writing and submitted to the committee one week prior to the June weigh in.

AGM is the Last Sunday of June – immediately following the June weigh-in.

Committee has final decision on all issues relating to the Club

Fishing points system as it stands is what we have chosen as a fair system to all types of anglers – Rock, Beach, Beach , Estuary and Boating. All fish must be fresh and in good condition or can be rejected by the weigh master on the day.

We are open to new improvements if it benefits all types of anglers and must be in writing, and submitted to the committee one month (Calendar Date) prior to the AGM, and the final decision will be made by the executive committee.

We encourage all members to socially fish.

To share all prizes donated and money raised to all members of the fishing club that participate in fishing via lucky door prizes, our trips away and through our Christmas Party’s and Presentation etc.

To donate money raised to local organisations eg: charities, Schools and the like.

Fishing Competition – Last Sunday of each month denotes Weekend of Fishing Competition and Weigh-In. Fishing can begin at 5am the Saturday prior untill Sunday where all Fish must be weighed in by 4.00pm at the Anna Bay Tavern Beer Garden, starting from 3.00pm. Members attending after 4.00pm can not weigh in fish and are disqualified from that months competition.

Members must wear club clothing (T-shirts / Polo’s / Hoodies) if weighing in fish. If a member weighs in fish and is not wearing club clothing there will be a loss of 50 points off their final score on the day.

Prize Eligibility – Members must attend at least 4 of the monthly Fishing Competitions (weigh-In’s) to be eligible for any prizes on Presentation Day (includes lucky door prizes, club records, leader board, Mens / Womens / Boys / Girls – 1st / 2nd / 3rd)

Points for the Competition will be awarded as per designated Club Fishing Rules

Warning to all members

Any form of Abusive Behaviour / Language towards fellow Members / Children or Other Tavern Patrons will Not Be Tolerated and could result in loss of Competition Points for the Month / Year or even Deregistration from the Club

Any form of cheating etc in Competition will result in
(First Offence) Loss of Competition Points for that Month
(Second Offence) Loss of Competition Points for the Year

Main Objective of this Club is to go Fishing and Have Fun

Its all about getting out fishing and having FUN – Membership is open to all Local Families
