ANNA BAY TAVERN FISHING CLUB
ANGLING RULES AND POINTS SYSTEM

Weigh-in is on the last Sunday of each month weekend. Fishing can begin on the Saturday prior at 5am and all fish to be weighed-In on the Sunday between 3:00pm and 4:00pm at the Anna Bay Tavern Beer Garden.

All Fish must comply with the Fisheries Dept. Regulations and Sizes. UNDERSIZED FISH – If any member weighs in an undersized fish they will lose all weigh-in points for that competition

All Fish to be Gilled and Gutted.

        MAXIMUM OF 5 FISH PER SPECIES UNLESS FISHERIES LIMIT IS UNDER 5 (eg GROPER=2)

Trumpeter Whiting must be 20cm minimum for adults

ADULTS:

MISC. SPECIES – Not stated above MAX OF 5 FISH SAME OR MIXED.

Miscellaneous species have to be on the LOCAL FISHERIES LIST (fresh and saltwater) these must comply with fisheries regulations and sizes.

BUT NOT INCLUDE ANY SHARKS, RAYS, MARLIN, RED ROCK COD, CARP, EELS, SQUID or SHELL FISH

EXTRA FISH included in miscellaneous species are: NANNY GAI, DART, BAR COD, MANGROVE JACK, EMPEROR and GOAT FISH

These extra fish MUST be a MINIMUM of 30cm. (or greater if fisheries sizes require).

ALL MISCELLANEOUS FISH ARE WORTH 2 POINTS PER KG

5 AUSTRALIAN SALMON  can be weighed in but can not be left in the give-a-way bin after weigh-in, member is responsible

KIDS:

All other fish caught EXCEPT TOADS, EELS, SQUID and SHELL FISH can be weighed in as misc-species and are worth 2 points per kg but must comply with fisheries regulations and sizes and be a max of 5 fish same or mixed.

1 POINT FOR EACH FISH

20 POINTS FOR THE BONUS FISH OF THE WEIGH IN (Wheel spin)

20 BONUS POINTS FOR WEIGHING IN 6 TARGET SPECIES

OTHER POINTS YOU CAN ACHIEVE ARE:

20 POINTS FOR ATTENDING TRIP AWAY

10 POINTS FOR ATTENDING A FISH-OUT

20 POINTS FOR ATTENDING THE XMAS PARTY

BONUS POINTS FOR ATTENDING FRIDAY NIGHTS JOKER POKER AND PURCHASING A RAFFLE TICKET. MUST WEIGH IN AT LEAST 1 FISH AT THAT MONTHS WEIGH IN TO VALIDATE POINTS TO YOUR TALLY. (5 POINTS PER  FRIDAY ).

PRIZES:

Highest Points of the day for Men – 1st receives a Prize

Highest Points of the day for Women – 1st receives a Prize

Highest Points of the day for Boys under 18 – 1st receives a Prize

Highest Points of the day for Girls under 18 – 1st receives a Prize

 

All who attend Weigh-In go into draw for 5 drink vouchers from the Tavern (must sign attendance book to be eligible)

Everyone who weighs a fish in goes into draw for major monthly prizes
